Render vector logos and icons as crisp PNGs at the scale you need, with a transparent background.
SVG is a drawing described in code, sharp at any size, but plenty of places can’t use it: social profile pictures, slides, email signatures, app stores, marketplaces and many CMS upload fields want a PNG. This page draws each SVG in your browser and saves it as a PNG with the transparent background intact. Choose 2× or 4× for high-density screens and print; the vectors are rendered at that size, so edges stay crisp instead of being blown up.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Drop your .svg files: logos, icons, diagrams or illustrations.
- Pick the scale: 1× uses the SVG’s own width and height, 2× doubles it for sharp results on modern screens, 4× is for print or large slides.
- Convert and save the PNGs, or download them all as a ZIP.
What happens to quality, size and metadata
Rendering happens once, at the final pixel size, so there is no blurring from upscaling: a 64 px icon at 4× becomes a clean 256 px PNG. PNG is lossless, so every anti-aliased edge and transparent area is stored exactly.
The result depends on what the SVG declares as its size; if it only has a viewBox, we use that. File sizes grow with the scale, roughly fourfold for each doubling. Text set in a web font only renders correctly if the font is embedded in the SVG or converted to outlines (paths).

SVG SVG is a W3C format that describes a drawing as shapes, paths and text in XML instead of pixels. It stays sharp at any size and is often tiny, but it cannot hold a photo efficiently, and many apps and upload forms accept only pixel images like PNG.
PNG PNG is a lossless image format published by the W3C in 1996 and later as ISO/IEC 15948. Every pixel is kept exactly, and it supports full transparency, which makes it ideal for screenshots, logos and text. Photos saved as PNG are usually several times larger than as JPG.

Without this site
Any browser can display an SVG: open it in a tab and take a screenshot, which works for a quick one-off but gives you screen resolution and usually a white background. Free vector editors such as Inkscape export PNG at any size via their export dialog. On a Mac, pressing Space on an SVG in Finder previews it with Quick Look, which is handy for checking a file before converting. For batches with transparency, this page is the faster route.
Troubleshooting
- Text turns into a different font. Web fonts the SVG loads from a URL can’t be used here, and fonts installed on your computer won’t be on everyone else’s. Convert text to outlines in your editor.
- Missing images inside the SVG. Linked external images aren’t loaded for security reasons. Embed them in the SVG (as data) before converting.
- The PNG is tiny. The SVG declares a small width and height. Choose 4×, or edit the width and height attributes.
- Animations. CSS or SMIL animation is ignored; you get the SVG’s first state.
Questions and answers
How do I convert SVG to PNG with a transparent background?
Drop the SVG here and convert: the background stays transparent automatically, because PNG supports transparency and we don’t add a fill. If the SVG itself contains a white rectangle as background, that rectangle is part of the drawing and will appear; remove it in a vector editor first.
What size will my PNG be?
At 1×, the PNG has the width and height written in the SVG (or its viewBox if there are none). 2× doubles both, 4× quadruples them. A 300 × 100 logo becomes 1200 × 400 at 4×. Use the max size setting if the result must fit within a box, such as 512 px for an app icon; it only ever scales down.
Why does my SVG look different as a PNG?
Usually because of fonts or linked files. The SVG is drawn in an isolated mode that can’t fetch external fonts or images, so text may fall back to a default font and linked pictures stay blank. Outline the text and embed images in your editor, then convert again.
Is it safe to convert SVG files online?
Here the SVG never leaves your device; it is drawn by your own browser and nothing is uploaded. We also render it as an image rather than inserting it into the page, so any scripts inside an SVG can’t run. That matters for logos and drawings from clients you haven’t published yet.
